• Ariel Hoop / Lyra

Aerial Hoop or Lyra comes in several different forms; single and double point (referring to the attachment points at the top of the hoop) but also spinning and non-spinning. Some people are drawn like a moth to a flame to the simplicity of the big round O of this perfect circle of metal.  Some are drawn to the spinning element.

Like all the other aerial disciplines you will need upper body strength, a head for heights and a high level of flexibility to show the tricks off to their best.

What to wear

Full length but close fitting leggings preferably with no zips (some people like to wear two layers), a long sleeved top with possibly a leotard underneath will all help to protect your skin while you train.
